There are walks from the door. Through our fields and the country lanes, to the beach, through the forrest allowing for a choice of easy circular walks. This is the perfect location for a refreshing break, combining the peace and tranquillity of the countryside with the close proximity to the nearby beach and coastline. You can walk to your heart's content along coastal paths, breathing in the fresh sea air, or just watch for geese, cranes or other birds on the meadows and lakes in the nature protection areas. Having a look to the sky you may watch ravens, buzzards or the king of the air the huge sea eagle.
Environment
The house is located in Hohwacht on the beautiful Bay of Hohwacht at the German Baltic Sea in Schleswig-Holstein. The area has a lot to offer: beautiful scenery, interisting history, a wide range of outdoor activities, and a golf course in the community.
The little seaside village offer plenty of places for lunch and coffee break. Most of the restaurants offer seafood and regional cousine. The holiday home is located 20m far from a small forrest where you may meet hares and deers.
Hohwachts beach is patrolled by lifeguards in summer. Bojes mark the patrolled swimming area. In this area surfing and using of motor boats is not allowed. Dogs are allowed in designated areas of the beach. There is a sea bridge called Flunder because it has the shape of a sole. The German translation of the fish name sole is flunder. Sometimes events like concerts, baptisms, weddings take place there .
